2026 World Cup: United States, Mexico and Canada bid wins vote, will host tournament in eight years For the first time since 1994, the World Cup is coming back to North America. On Wednesday in Moscow, the trio bid of the United States, Mexico and Canada beat Morocco in a vote to earn the hosting rights to the 2026 World Cup. The final vote ended with 134 to the United States and 65 for Morocco.  With just two bids, the trio bid (known as United 2026) was far and away the favorite. FIFA's bid evaluation report scored it significantly higher than the Morocco bid, with United 2026 earning a score of 4.0 out of five, while Morocco scored 2.7, and the voters responded. Sports Presenter Attacked At His Home By Unknown Assailants Popular sports journalist Saddick Adams, popularly known as Sports Obama, has revealed that he was attacked by unknown assailants at his residence on Wednesday. The Atinka FM sports presenter said some men stormed his home and attempted to forcibly break through his gates. According to him, the assailants fled off on a motorbike following the swift arrival of some policemen at the scene. The popular sports journalists made these revelations in a Facebook post. “So, two unknown assailants pursued me and forcibly attempted breaking into my home moments ago. I was told someone was outside calling me out and kept trying to force  gate  open.
