Silly Mistakes Led To Wasted Opportunity-Marcos Alonso
Marcos Alonso says lessons from yesterday’s defeat at Arsenal must be
learned quickly with another big London derby on the horizon.

was Alonso who came closest to scoring for us when he hit the post with a
header on the stroke of half-time. The Spaniard also registered our only
on-target effort of the evening, saved by Bernd Leno late on.

‘When you lose, you learn. We have to analyse the game and improve
quickly because there is no time to think. We have to perform again in four
days.’
We missed the chance to go nine points clear of Arsenal, and instead
now just three points separate us, in fourth place, from them and Manchester
United, in fifth and sixth respectively.

now we have to work even harder to stay in a Champions League position and win
games. It has to motivate us.’
Captain Cesar Azpilicueta spoke to Chelsea TV after the loss and
