Vybz Kartel Gives Himself New Name Blacka Kartel Ahead Of Album Release



The incarcerated deejay shocked his fans this week when he debuts some new photos from prison of himself with dark skin. Sources inside the Gazanation camp told Urban Islandz that a part of the reason for changing his image is because of his new album. The TJ Records-project is due sometime soon, possibly before Christmas or at the top of the new year.


“Addi [Vybz Kartel] always change his image ever so often and now is a perfect time to do it with the album coming out sometime soon,” sources told us. “The music on this project will remind you of the black Kartel days, will be sick.”

Kartel even gave himself a new moniker, Blacka Kartel. The response from his fans so far have been positive with some fans suggested that they’ve been waiting a long time for him to get back to his normal skin tone.

“Addi Di Bleacha turn back Addi Di Darker,” one fan wrote while another added, “Long time you fi turn back black me boss, now all the fans who follow bleach them skin should turn back black too.”
