Pep Guardiola explains why Chelsea can be Premier League title winners this season



Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola insists Chelsea can compete for the Premier League title this season after the Blues secured a 2-0 win over his side.

Blues boss Maurizio Sarri has constantly claimed that his team are not ready to be the top side in the league just yet, but goals from N’Golo Kante and David Luiz secured a very impressive win over the current champions.

But despite Sarri’s comments, Guardiola does not agree and thinks that with the players at Sarri’s disposal they can compete for all the trophies this season rather than the next one, as Sarri had suggested.

 “If you tell me Liverpool can win the title, I would say yes. If you say Tottenham, Arsenal or Chelsea can win the Premier League then I would say yes. Everybody can win the Premier League,” Guardiola said.

“We know that with two defeats in three games players give an extra bit, playing at home against a previous champions.
