Mario Balotelli Reacts To Cristiano Ronaldo’s Controversial Goal Celebration


Mario Balotelli famously asked ‘Why Always Me’ after scoring in a famous derby. On Saturday night the former Manchester City striker was left asking ‘what if it was me’ after Cristiano Ronaldo’s derby winner for Juventus.

Derbies always bring out the most emotions in football, that’s likely to be the case in the ‘north west derby’ on Sunday when Liverpool host Manchester United, and can bring out the worst in players.

Famously one derby involving Manchester United brought out the most peak Mario Balotelli moment possible when the Italian scored and revealed a t-shirt under his kit that said ‘Why Always Me.’


On Saturday evening the Nice striker was watching another derby on television as Juventus took on Torino in the Turin derby.



Cristiano Ronaldo settled the game with the only goal of the 90 minutes from the penalty spot. The goal was controversial, not because of the awarding of the spot kick but because of his celebration.
