“…The black man is capable of managing his own affairs”, are the very words Dr. Kwame Nkrumah as part of his Independence Declaration on the eve of 6th March, 1957 at the Old Polo Grounds.

But years after his death, questions have emanated as to whether Ghana (Blackman’s country) is capable of managing its own affair. Unfortunately the answer is NO per the happening in our political, social, economic and cultural front.
Well, Dancehall artiste Shatta has in a way voiced that Ghana’s independence fought by the late Dr. Kwame Nkrumah was needles citing Nelson Mandela’s South Africa as an example.

According to Shatta Wale, the long stay of the British in South Africa contributed to their enviable development comparably to Ghana who protested against colonial rule. In a Facebook live, the ‘Gringo’ hitmaker posited that;
“See black man. Black man no dey fit keep e own things well. You go white man e country, you go see things. Go see South Africa. Mandela said ‘let the white people stay here and do their work..”
Although Dr. Kwame Nkrumah and his associates wanted the best for Ghanaians, but it’s unfortunate that everything is messed up right after his tenure.
