Man murders pregnant lover, son and dumps them in mining pit

Kwame Tuffuor, the suspect
Police at Manso Nkwanta in Amansie West District have retrieved the bodies of a pregnant mother and her five-year-old son which were allegedly dumped in a mining pit.
Yaa Attaa and her son, Kofi Kontoh, were killed and dumped in the abandoned mining pit t by her lover, Kwame Tuffuor.
The two had gone missing since last Friday from their Manso Edubiaso home after being spotted with the suspect.
Residents of Manso Edubiaso went on a search for Yaa Attaa and her son Kontoh following their disappearance on Frida

Until Wednesday night, the police had been struggling to get the bodies out, three days after Mr Tuffuor led them to the scene.

It took the intervention of some local miners to help retrieve the bodies on Wednesday.
He was, however, arrested when he tried to leave the community after news got to the search team he had been seen with the deceased on the day the disappeared.
Mr Tuffuor confessed during interrogation that he had killed the two. He then led police on Tuesday to the scene where the almost decomposed bodies were found.
He told police how he killed his victims in turns; first, the pregnant woman after which he dumped her body into a pit. The suspect then killed the son who was waiting under a mango tree few meters away in the bush
Edubiaso Dikro, Nana Obeng Berko II, attributes the arrest of the culprit and discovery of the bodies to an intervention of the gods who will now be pacified.
He is convinced the call on the gods through the pouring of libation was enough to blow the lid on the suspect, Kwame Tuffuor who attempted to escape.
"We will call on the gods, our ancestors and all the deities. Each one of them will intervene. We don't want this calamity to befall us again, he said.
District Chief Executive, William Asante Bediako, visited the scene with police on Wednesday wants police to do a thorough investigation.
He suspects more people could be involved in that dastard act.
"If you look at the circumstances surrounding the death, it looks like it was calculated; from the roadside to where the pit is, I don't know if the person planned it himself," he said.
Mr. Bediako who is demoralized by the dehumanised way the deceased was killed said, "if a human being can decide to walk the lady through to the place so that he can kill the lady, then I don't know what to say anymore...I am so down."
Meanwhile, the Manso Nkwanta Magistrate Court on Wednesday remanded the suspect into police custody on a provisional charge of murder.
He will re-appear on June 6, 2018 whilst the deceased were buried on Wednesday night.

what do you think the Government should to the Man(Suspect)?
