PAA KWESI AMISSAH ARTHUR Mr. Amissah-Arthur is reported to have collapsed at the Air Force Gym early Friday, June 29, 2018, and was rushed to the 37 Military Hospital where he was pronounced dead As a reminder, Paa Kwesi Bekoe Amissah-Arthur (born 29 April 1951) was a Ghanaian economist, academic, and politician who was the sixth Vice-President of Ghana, in office from 6 August 2012 until 7 January 2017, under President John Dramani Mahama. Previously he was Governor of the Bank of Ghana from 2009 to 2012. Suicide Bomber Killed While Trying To Detonate His Bomb In Borno A lone male  suicide bomber  was killed after being shot by security operatives while trying to detonate his bomb at Post office area in Maiduguri, capital of  Borno State , on Saturday night. The suicide bomber who was shot dead – failed to kill anyone in the process. According to a statement by the spokesman of the Borno State Police Command, DSP Edet Okon, the lone suicide bomber detonated his bomb at about 7:15pm when he saw the massive police deployment at Oando petrol station in Post Office area of Maiduguri. He was said to be heading towards Monday Market. Edet said men of the Explosive Ordinance Department have been deployed to sanitize the scene and render the area safe. Young soldier dies a day after passing out  The post was made by Mubarak A J Saagbul on Thursday. Checks by Ghmoringnews.com.gh on the post on Facebook, indicate that the soldier had passed out in the first week on June this year, perhaps on June 6, 2018. Though Ghmoriningnews.blogspot.com cannot say when exactly Yakubu died, it is believed that the death might have occurred on June 7. He died through an accident, when he was being transported to his unit of service at the back of a truck, according to Mr. Saagbul Mr. Saagbul sadly wrote on Facebook: “You chose the career of your dream. Just a day after passing out, you lose your life. What an anticlimax to a hopeful life. May Allah bless you with rest my brother.”  This post has garnered reactions from some social media users who are shocked at the news, and some of them have said they do not want to accept that Yakubu was gone. BECE Candidate Dies Few Hours To The Start Of Examination One candidate sitting for the ongoing Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE), in the Ashaiman municipality is reported dead few hours before the start of the examination nationwide on Monday. The cause of death of is not immediately known but it has been established that sixteen others out of the registered 3,664 candidates failed to turn up for the examination. The main reason for their inability to write the examination is not yet known but source claim some of the absentees were reported to be sick. Out of the total number of 3,664 candidates comprising students from 17 public and 124 private schools, 1,698 are boys while 1,966 are girls. he Ashaiman Municipal Chief Executive Mr. Albert Boakye Okyere, the Member of Parliament for Ashaiman Hon. Henry Ernest Norgbey, as well as the Ashaiman Municipal Director of the Ghana Education Service, Rev. Mrs. Orleans Madjitey, visited some of the Examination cen
