Justice for Latif: GJA disappointed in IGP The Ghana Journalists Association (GJA) is unhappy with the seeming reluctance of Inspector General of Police (IGP), David Asante-Apeatu, in the handling of the case in which some police officers brutalised Multimedia Journalist, Latif Iddris. The GJA says it is yet to hear from the police after officially writing to the IGP requesting full disclosure on investigations conducted into the case. “We made a report to the police and we met with the IGP and his team and they actually promised us that they were going to furnish us with the outcome of the findings…and it’s been months now, we’ve not heard anything from them. St. Peters Carries the Day As SHS Winner Of NSMQ 2018–Full Results In Each Round Today, July 5th was the finals of the annual National Maths and Science Quiz (NSMQ 2018) and after 5 competitive rounds,  St.Peters SHS is the winner of the NSMQ 2018 at  the end of the day. Adisadel College, St. Peter’s SHS and West Africa Senior High School (WASS) were the 3 schools that made it to the 2018 NSMQ finals. It has been an enthralling competition so far and we all learned something new today watching the NSMQ 2018. After the first three rounds of the competition, Adisadel was leading and it was almost a done deal for them but they flopped in the 4th round as they had more wrong answers in that round, making them lose points. Quiz Mistress of the NSMQ 2018 West Africa SHS had lots of good luck and they were leading the pack at the end of Round 4, with St.Peters placing Second and Adisadel College 3rd. But the Final round which was about riddles was the final decider of the day.

It was believed by many students that they cause havoc and bring disease to students who set eyes on them. But as we entered the 2000s those rumors died down and it was believed was just the figment of an imagination of students. But it appears those imaginations are coming back in 2018.
